Today I Felt Baby G! End of 15th Week!

This morning (4:15 am) when I came back to bed after my 5th bathroom break, I got cozy in my body pillow that surrounded me. Then I felt what I have been waiting for...Baby G kicked my right side or did a somersault!!!! It was a quick, soft, but strong kick. I could tell that if Baby G was bigger, then the kick would have hurt. I was so happy, I woke Vladi up to tell him. I might have felt Baby G earlier this week, but I know this was definitely Baby G.

I have been waiting to feel something because babycenter.com says that 1st time mommies tend to think that the feelings are belly rumblings but are really the baby doing those first acrobatics. And since I had an empty stomach from being sick two different times yesterday...(yes, in my second trimester), I knew it was not food rumblings and I was not hungry. I can just picture my baby now just dancing around (like it's mommy) and doing somersaults. The kick is probably Baby G doing the Charleston dance. My friend Danielle said that the baby will come out dancing like the Ally McBeal baby (after she saw me dancing at a friend's wedding-earlier post).

"oooonga chacka, oooonga oooonga,

oooonga chacka, oooonga oooonga,

I can't fight this feeling,

deep inside of me.

Baby you just don't realize,

what you do to me.

When you kick me and do somersaults,

you let me know, everythings alright...

I, I'm hooked on a feeling,

High on believing,

that you're inside of me! "

AHHHH!

Hi everyone! Vladi has someone from the cable company coming to look at our internet box because the internet closes out on us and I can't download pics. I will post again soon and catch you up on everything. Also, in about 1 month when I am "seeing" and possibly feeling much more, I will be blogging almost everyday.

Have a great day and stay bundled up!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
but the fire is so delightful,
since we've no place to go, (except work)
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Today was our first snowfall and definitely not the last. We got a lot of snow and there is more coming tonight. I took a picture this morning and will take one tomorrow (it was dark when I got home). My car was completely covered after work. I always think on these day, "Would Shelby County have school?" they probably wouldn't if they got the snow today; BUT, I remember my last year in KY and when there was snow we still had to go to school unless there was ice. So I guess my question should be changed to "In 1989, would Shelby County have school if they got the snow we had today?" Definitely not and then I would have drunk hot chocolate (which I am about to do) and stay up late (which I am not going to do tonight). I was nine then and loved having a snow day and wish I had them now. My child care center does not close for any amount of snow or ice storm (I have heard), I guess which is good for parents that have to work.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's picture of this morning and what it looks like tomorrow morning.

PS. I thought of Shannon and Chris today because I know they always fix eggnog on the night of the first snowfall.

Taking Some Shots and Handcuffs

Last week I went out with some girls from work to celebrate my friend's birthday, Rachel. We had so much fun! All the girls were taking shots all night. I didn't want to just sit there so I joined in on the shots. The shots that I had were.... ginger ale shots with a lime! Completely alcohol free, don't worry. Stay tuned for the picture, I have to download it from my friend's camera.

The same day, one of my student's dad came for Community Helpers week. He is a State Trooper and also brought his car. He literally let the kids use it as a jungle gym. When they started pretending to drive, hit the siren button, turn the windshield wipers on, and play with his computer, he told me not to worry because he turned everything off. I thought, "Wow! ok." The kids loved playing with the handcuffs and so did Danielle (my wonderful teammate) and me. Stay tuned for that photo too, we look so naughty.

The next night, Vladi and I went to Strongsville BW3s (other side of Cleveland) to see his coworkers. It was nice seeing everyone. My man was happy because I said that I would drive and he could drink the new Great Lakes Beer on tap= Christmas Ale!!!! "It was very good." he just said with a Borat accent. I was so envious that he was drinking Christmas Ale...it's the best. But being pregnant is priceless. I suggest checking out your local Liquor Barn and see if they have that beer.

I Hope You Voted

I hope that you voted. Here is a pic of Vladi voting his first time for our President. See his little sticker that he is pointing to. I was a proud wife when I took that. We also did not have to wait long in line at all. If we wore our sticker to Chick-fil-a and Starbucks, we could get a free chicken sandwich and coffee. Too bad I don't want chicken right now, and surprisingly, Vladi didn't want the chicken. But I did get my decaf coffee at Starbucks.
